What Is Human Sexuality?

Human sexuality is the capacity to have intimate and erotic experiences and responses. Human sexuality may also involve a person’s sexual attraction to another, which may be determined by their sexual orientation. Human sexuality impacts cultural, political, legal, and philosophical aspects of life. It can refer to issues of morality, ethics, theology, or religion. I work to create an environment that takes the shame, guilt and limitations out of the conversation. I invite in all ranges of discussion and openness around sexuality, sexual identity, and sexual issues. Common client goals are to better understand their own sexuality and create a more encompassing and healthier relationship in this arena. Additionally, sexual expression can help shed light on other areas of an individual’s emotional life that may benefit from further exploration and attention.
