All long-term relationships are tasked with the challenge of negotiating problems as they occur in the relationship. Many of the problems are situational in nature, however some may be more perpetual. These types of perpetual problems exist because we’re human and no one person is challenge-free. In relationships that report a very high level of satisfaction, these perpetual problems do not give way to resentments or negative sentiment, but instead are seen as tolerable problems that do not truly hinder the relationship.
